BIOGRAPHY
Jie-Huai Yang (b. 1992, Taichung) is a visual artist, filmmaker, and writer based in Taipei. He received his MFA degree from the Department of New Media Art at the Taipei National University of the Arts in 2021. His practice spans contemporary art and experimental film, focusing on image narratives that navigate the intersection of memory, archives, lived experience, and the present. In doing so, he explores the space between documentary and fiction by reconstructing everyday scenes.
His work has been exhibited at Chi-Wen Gallery, MoCA Taipei, C-LAB, and the Green Island Biennial, with film screenings at the Kaohsiung Film Festival and the Golden Harvest Short Film Festival. Honors include the 2026 Kaohsiung Award, the Jury Award in the 2024 Kaohsiung Film Festival’s International Short Film Competition, and the 2023 Next Art Tainan Awards.
簡介
楊傑懷，視覺藝術家、影像工作者與作者，居住於臺北。1992 年出生於臺中，2021 年取得國立臺北藝術大學新媒體藝術學系藝術碩士學位。橫跨當代藝術與實驗電影領域，創作在記憶、檔案、生活經驗與當下時間的邊界形成影像敘事，以此探尋影像媒介在紀實與虛構之間重組日常場景的可能。
重要展演包括 2021 年其玟畫廊個展「我沒有愛人的能力」，並曾參與綠島人權藝術季、臺北當代藝術館、臺灣當代文化實驗場等機構聯展，以及高雄電影節、金穗影展等放映。其創作曾獲多項獎項肯定，包括 2026 年高雄獎首獎、2024 年高雄電影節國際短片競賽臺灣組評審團獎，以及 2023 年臺南新藝獎。
